Owed to The Mountain

Portland opportunity to see deluxe display of Owed to The Mountain this coming Friday, November 4, 5:30 – 8:30 PM at the Night Market at La Paloma, an eclectic gift shop + community event space in the heart of St Johns: 8641 N Lombard Street. Interestingly, the building was originally constructed as a silent cinema in 1912. I will have unframed fine press prints, Owed to The Mountain digitally printed artist books, and 6 framed prints for sale.

Please come and say hello and experience this fun evening of selling handmade items and hearing local live music.

These 3 double prints are framed and ready for purchase:

In late October Jefferson Greene and I met at the Museum at Warm Springs to deliver a deluxe copy of Owed to The Mountain, a gift to the Warm Springs community.

All nine stories in the book are from members of the Confederated Tribes at Warm Springs. Jefferson and Myra Johnson Orange were instrumental in sharing their thoughts and ideas about the project along the way.

I had the pleasure of meeting with Elizabeth Woody, Executive Director of the Museum at Warm Springs. I am honored to have this project in their collection.

Coming on November 30th Owed to The Mountain will be displayed in this glass vitrine on Concourse D at the Portland Airport for six months. If you are traveling in the near future, keep an eye out for an elaborate display.

Outgoing exhibit Tidepools by Sayuri Sasaki Hemann, is dedicated to all lives affected by the Tohoku Earthquake/Tsunami 2011. It is part of the PORT’s permanent collection and has been on display in this case since 2013.

North Face, wood engraving, 14” x 14”, 2020 was accepted to Remarque Print Workshop’s exhibition 10th Annual International Juried Print Exhibit – December 2, 2022 – January 28, 2023 in Los Ranchos, New Mexico. My print was one of 40 works selected out of over 400 entries.

I am thrilled to be participating in TROPIC BOUND, the first International Artists’ Book Fair in Miami Florida this coming February. Mark your calendars – I hope to see you there!

Until next time…

Stay engaged, healthy, and striving to make the world better!

Love
