In my new series of work - Exposing The Inside - I am revealing the underbelly, the side you aren’t supposed to see. I cut the fruit carefully, eat the flesh, scrape the inside of the skin, and turn it inside out before stitching it back together. I am thinking about vulnerability, healing, historical trauma, and environmental collapse.

The fruit objects are illusive in their tenderness, and subversion. The texture and hue of each skin reveals endless variation in a continuation of decay. The meaning behind these natural forms changed by my interventions is ambiguous because the act of stitching can reflect mending or violence.
