This new work feels both bold and fragile. I’m turning fruits inside out to expose the inside; they might be about vulnerability or healing; they might summon a collaboration with poets and become a book, I do not know. I trust that it will become meaningful to me and to future audiences. Letting the unknown into the process and giving it time to mature accelerates my learning and feeds my curiosity.

The fruit objects are illusive in their tenderness, and subversion. The texture and hue of the skin are ambiguous and the act of stitching can project violence or mending. It is not yet clear where this new work will lead.
