Come see Owed to The Mountain at Atelier Meridian located at 820 N River Street, studio B-1 in Portland, OR. Follow signs and go through the gate and park down below. There will be an artist talk at 7 pm and different blocks and plates will be on view to help people understand how the book was printed. Prints and digital books will be for sale. I am teaching a fun pop-up workshop on Sunday Nov. 4th, 11 AM- 12:30 PM. Sliding scale $10 - $20 but no one will be turned away for lack of funds.

For the breath of a poem

My solo installation celebrating the poetry of Kathleen Flowers will be shown at the Sesnon Underground Gallery at Porter College on the University of California, Santa Cruz campus. 9 poems have been interpreted through cast shadow in wire text, burned leaves, ceramic letters, sandblasted glass, laser cut paper, and in a video by Ella Anderson.

Please join us at the opening reception on Thursday April 12 from 5 - 7 p.m.

The gallery is open Tuesday - Saturday 12 - 5 pm and Wednesday until 8 pm.
The show runs from April 12 - May 12, 2018

The works in this exhibition explore the Magna Carta's ideals while focusing on contemporary issues--from the protection of personal freedom and individual rights, to unlawful imprisonment; from the Abu Ghraib torture atrocities and Japanese bondage techniques, to the resilience of religious dogmas and the visual codification of legal systems in medieval textile patterns.
